Why Test? Within your pond, fish waste together with uneaten food and dead plants are decomposed in a process known as the Nitrogen Cycle.
This cycle involves the decomposition of fish waste etc, into ammonia, ammonia into nitrite into nitare.
Nitrite in concentrations greater then 1.60 mg/l and if present of extended periods is harmful to your fish.
To ensure optimum water quality and to correct problems we recommend regularly testing.
